Morphology (unacetolysed pollen): Size class: small (20-30 μm). Shape in equatorial view: flattened oval (oblate). Shape in polar view: triangular/rounded triangular. Aperture numbers: 3. Aperture type: furrows with pores. Surface pattern: smooth or indefinite, or granular. Exine section: thin to medium (no rods visible). Other structural features: intine swollen beneath apertures and cell contents granular.
Bee pollen pellet colour: Brown or beige to yellow.
