Comparison remarks: The apertures are actually faint short furrows with large pores, but may appear at first sight to be simple pores.
Morphology (unacetolysed pollen): Size class: small (20-30 μm). Shape in equatorial view: flattened oval (oblate). Shape in polar view: oval. Aperture numbers: 2. Aperture type: pores only, or furrows with pores. Surface pattern: smooth or indefinite. Exine section: thin to medium (no rods visible).
Bee pollen pellet colour: Brown or beige to yellow.
