Comparison remarks: Furrows tend to be longer than in Geranium..

Morphology (unacetolysed pollen): Size class: large (50-100 μm). Shape in equatorial view: round or irregularly round. Shape in polar view: trilobed (apertures in sides). Aperture numbers: 3. Aperture type: furrows with pores. Surface pattern: net or pitted. Exine section: medium or thick with coarse external rods.

Bee pollen pellet colour: Brown or beige.
