Morphology (unacetolysed pollen): Size class: medium (30-50 μm), or large (50-100 μm). Shape in equatorial view: round or irregularly round, or flattened oval (oblate). Shape in polar view: triangular/rounded triangular. Aperture numbers: 3. Aperture type: pores only, or furrows with pores. Surface pattern: granular. Exine section: medium or thick with coarse external rods.
