Morphology (unacetolysed pollen): Size class: very small (<20 μm). Shape in equatorial view: round or irregularly round and different at each pole (aperture at one pole). Shape in polar view: round. Aperture numbers: 1. Aperture type: pores only. Surface pattern: smooth or indefinite, or granular. Exine section: thin to medium (no rods visible). Other structural features: granules or projections scattered on apertures.
Bee pollen pellet colour: White to brown or beige.
